The performance will be part of the artist's tour to promote his latest album, Henry St., released earlier this year after a four-year hiatus.

The Tallest Man On Earth, also known as Kristian Matsson, has been captivating audiences worldwide for over a decade, using every inch of his long guitar cord to roam the stage, and delivering a performance that is nothing short of mesmerizing. Swedish singer-songwriter The Tallest Man On Earth is set to take the stage in Melbourne for a show at Northcote Theatre on December 8.

In 2020, Matsson left New York City and returned to his farm in Sweden, where he drowned out his thoughts by growing vegetables in his garden, trying to get his creative juices flowing.

However, it wasn’t until he returned to touring in late 2021 that Matsson’s inspiration for imaginative writing returned. “When I’m in motion, I can focus on my instinct, have my daydreams again. When I was finally able to tour again, I started writing like a madman,” he said. This led to the creation of Henry St., an album that explores his stubborn optimism and how to be a person in this world.

As the artist’s sixth album, Henry St. is the most ‘him’ yet, covering many of the different noises in his head. It marks the first time Matsson recorded an album in a band setting, and has given him new confidence and playfulness. “Making music and performing is what I’m doing for the rest of my life, and I’m so grateful for it. It’s unconditional,” he said.

Fans attending The Tallest Man On Earth’s Melbourne show can expect a performance that showcases Matsson’s unique blend of indie-folk and captivating storytelling. With his mesmerizing guitar skills and evocative lyrics, The Tallest Man On Earth is sure to leave audiences spellbound and wanting more.

It all goes down at Northcote Theatre on December 8. Grab tickets by heading here.
