This September, the world’s greatest Stevie Wonder show is making its way across Australia, honouring the boundless skill and enduring legacy of the singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Melbourne fans can catch The Stevie Wonder Story when it stops by The Palms at Crown on September 15 and 16.

Widely recognised as the premier tribute to Stevie Wonder, the show has brought together music fans in cities from New York to London. It’s no easy feat to reimagine the work of such a singular performer, but if anyone can do it justice, it’s the team behind the Stevie Wonder Story.

The brilliant eight-piece band has credentials that speak for themselves. The members have recorded and toured alongside some of music’s most sparkling stars, including Beyonce, Grace Jones, Amy Winehouse, Aretha Franklin and The Temptations. Some have even worked with the show’s namesake himself.

“It’s a very special experience to play these songs with such an amazing band and to get so close to the sound, feel and spirit of the classic Stevie performances we all grew up listening to,” said hornist Henry Collins.

Praised for its impeccable vocal harmonies, Philly style horn section and rich percussion grooves, the show breathes new life into the artist’s unforgettable classics. For lovers of R&B, Motown, soul, and music as a whole, it’s an event that can’t be missed.
