Even though Bluesfest is just under four months away, a slew of lineup announcements are still getting fans in a frenzy. Today, the Byron Bay festival has revealed the legendary Saboteurs are coming to Australia for the first time.

Also known as ‘The Raconteurs’ outside of Australia, The Saboteurs are a mix-and-match of band members from other iconic groups. The Detroit four-piece have released two albums, the most recent from 2008. However, in the lead up to April’s performance and their 2019 LP, The Saboteurs have dropped two brand new tracks, ‘Now That You’re Gone’ and ‘Sunday Driver’.

In a recent interview with Mojo Magazine, frontman Jack White (you might have heard of him) said the band are raring to release their long-awaited record.

“We have a vast amount of genre-pushing songs that bridge the gap between Detroit and Nashville rock and roll,” White said.

“The album sounds like a World War.”

While you might think Bluesfest couldn’t possibly up the ante, another artist announcement is coming in January.
