Every year The Rose Hotel closes off Leicester Street, put on a few bands, cook up some street food and run auctions and raffles – all to raise funds for local charities and causes.
Last year the event raised $6,500 to donate to Fitzroy Adventure Playground following federal budget cuts to the organisation. This year they are aiming to do even better to help Fitzroy Primary School expand their limited outdoor facilities and equipment.
Entertainment on the day will come from The Sugarcanes, The Gunslingers and Jukebox Racket, with MC/auctioneer comedian Danny McGinlay running proceedings.
