The Red Hot Summer Tour has announced its return for 2019, with the Series One reveal listing Jimmy Barnes, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, The Living End, Diesel, Richard Clapton and Chocolate Starfish all to perform at the event. With eight dates spread across Australia, it’s easy to understand how the Red Hot Summer Tour has earnt its reputation as one of the best regional festivals.
The Victorian shows are Saturday January 19 at Mornington Racecourse and Sunday January 27 at Ballarat’s North Gardens. Tickets go on sale this Thursday June 28 through Ticketmaster, and as the show are always a sell-out, you’ll wanna get in quick.
The aim behind The Red Hot Summer Tour is to bring world class rock to regional areas. “Our ethos starting out was to take the type of artists you would see performing at festivals into metro centres, and bring them to the regions,” says promoter Duane McDonald. “Music fans are everywhere, and just because they don’t live in a capital city doesn’t mean they shouldn’t have access to the best live acts. We are so proud to have grown the festival to encompass dozens of shows – across three different series annually – with bills that include iconic artists.”
