Section 8 is back for another epic year. The vibrancy of the music at the city’s favourite container bar this January is uncontainable.
From NYD parties to hip hop and jazz improv nights, if you find yourself wandering the CBD streets wondering where to dance, just follow the vibrations of the beats to none other than Tattersalls Lane.
A hub of music, performance and art – and situated right smack bang in the heart of the city – Section 8 is your one-stop-shop for the kind of exciting music Melbourne has become known for.

Come down for this Arabic x Latin NYD Party at the city container bar and salsa your way into 2025. Hosted by MC Karalius and Ms. Onur Kurt, the day’s event will include performances and music from Tarabeat, Coterra, DJ Chancleta, Lixxxtrado, Luqman and MzRizk.

January will be capped off at Section 8 with the bar’s very own monthly improved hip hop and jazz jam. A collection of rotating musicians and guests will be hitting up the Section 8 stage. This will no doubt be a demonstration of incredible talent and infectious energy. Milk Bar House Band will be performing live, along with ENTRO and some mates. Don’t sleep on this show – it’s shaping up to be an epic one.
