The Palais are looking for emerging artists to perform on its iconic stage

Applications are now open for 'OnStage: The Series'.

The Palais in St Kilda are looking for up-and-coming acts to play as part of their OnStage: The Series program – an initiative that will see emerging artists playing intimate shows where both the artist and the audience will be on stage together. They’re looking for a diverse range of artists from all different genres for a series of gigs that will take place over six days in early January 2023. If you’re an emerging artist looking for a unique place to take your next gig, you have until August 16 to register your interest in OnStage: The Series.

What you need to know

  • Applications are open for The Palais’ OnStage: The Series 
  • It will give emerging artists the chance to play an intimate set on their iconic stage in early January 2023
  • You have until 5pm, August 16 – so register your interest as soon as possible!

OnStage: The Series gives emerging artists the unmissable opportunity to perform with the expansive, beautiful art deco auditorium as the backdrop of their stripped back set to an exclusive audience. The audio and lighting will be supported by mid-career professionals livelihoods have been affected by COVID-19. The behind-the-scenes production will also be assisted by students enrolled in event production courses who are participating in invaluable hands-on work experience.

The stage at The Palais will be made accessible via a ramp that will be built from the auditorium onto the stage. The program is supported by RISE, an Australian Government initiative that provides funding to various arts and entertainment sector organisations to assist in the presentation of cultural and creative projects.
