Ecstatic to return home once again for his biggest Australian shows to date in 2024, LAROI shares, “I’m so excited to be coming back home in February! I felt so much love from the fans on last year’s tour – it’s something I’ll never forget. The Kid LAROI to play second Melbourne show to meet massive demand

A maiden full-length album from The Kid LAROI, aka Charlton Kenneth Jeffrey Howard, THE FIRST TIMEfollows on from the rapper’s debut 2020 mixtape F*ck Love, with LAROI rebranding his sound into a style befitting of his international celebrity status, while also ultimately serving up one of the most anticipated albums of 2023. Featuring guest appearances from Jungkook and Central Cee on the single Too Much, Baby Drill and Future on What’s the Move?, Robert Glasper and YoungBoy Never on Call Me Instead, and D4vd on The Line, THE FIRST TIME is a technicolour celebration of collaboration and unwavering creativity, traversing the famed Kamilaroi artist’s professional and creative journey, catapulting to stardom alongside his earlier work with Juice Wrld, the 2021 smash single Stay alongside Justin Bieber, and the mixtape that started it all, F*ck Love in 2020.

The Kid LAROI's rise to fame

LAROI's musical journey began at a young age, and he quickly developed a passion for creating music. His early influences include artists like Drake, Lil Wayne, and Kanye West, who played a significant role in shaping his artistic style. At the age of 15, he gained attention with his debut mixtape, "14 With a Dream," showcasing his raw talent and distinctive sound.

However, it was his collaboration with renowned artist Juice WRLD that truly propelled him into the limelight. LAROI featured on Juice WRLD's posthumous track "Smile," which garnered widespread acclaim and opened doors for the young artist. Following this success, he released his major-label debut mixtape, "F*ck Love," in July 2020, further solidifying his position in the industry.

The mixtape showcased LAROI's versatility as an artist, blending rap, R&B, and pop influences. Tracks like "Without You" and "So Done" demonstrated his ability to create emotionally charged and relatable music. His lyrics often touch on personal experiences, relationships, and the struggles of navigating fame at a young age, resonating with a broad audience.

The Kid LAROI's star continued to rise with the release of his debut studio album, "F*ck Love 3: Over You," in July 2021. The album featured collaborations with industry heavyweights like Justin Bieber, further cementing his status as a rising force in the music world. The track "Stay," a collaboration with Bieber, became a massive hit, reaching the top of the charts and earning critical acclaim for its catchy melody and infectious energy.
