The Jesus and Mary Chain reveal 2019 Australian tour

Post-punk pioneers The Jesus and Mary Chain will be taking their angst-driven, searing sound around the country next year, with the brains behind the operation – brothers William and Jim Reid – announcing a four-date tour alongside their Golden Plains appearance.

Making their debut in 1985 with Psychocandy, The Jesus and Mary Chain quickly became stalwarts of the post-punk scene, influencing the likes of Nirvana and My Bloody Valentine in their wake. Although the band’s lineup has featured a rotating lineup over the years, the Reid brothers remain the driving force of the operation.

Having triumphed stages at the likes of Coachella, with their setlists drawing from an incredible back-catalogue of hits including the likes of ‘Some Candy Talking’, ‘April Skies’ and ‘Darklands’, The Jesus and Mary Chain are set to put on a rollicking show. Over three decades in the making, you can bet they’ll be bringing the thunder when they hit Australian stages next year.
