As part of their beloved free music series, Thornbury Local have announced their awesome June and July line-up.
Who doesn’t love a good free gig? The Thornbury Local, a two story bastion of High Street, have just announced the performers for their June and July run of shows. With three free gigs a week on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, this wicked performance line-up includes the likes of Basement Spaceman, Sean Sully, The Backyard Banjo Club, Orange Laurence, John Taratsas, The Man from Atlantis, Liars in Love, Georgia Rodgers and many, many more. Check out some of the best up and coming musicians that Melbourne has to offer by catching these gigs for free in their iconic band room.
The weekly staples of the Thornbury Local include their iconic Tuesday trivia nights, where you can grab as many $12 pizzas as you can eat. Enjoy, or perform in, their open mic on Wednesdays from 8pm, accompanied by $12 burgers. Relax after work with an extended happy hour on Thursday between 5 – 11pm, where the kitchen dishes out $1 buffalo wings and buffalo cauliflower bites, as well as $9 pints.
