Falls Festival is bringing Arctic Monkeys, Lil Nas X, Peggy Gou, CHVRCHES, Jamie xx and more to inner-city Melbourne.
The set times have been revealed for Falls Festival – arguably the biggest Australian NYE festival, it has announced its return for summer of 2022/2023 with some huge names.
Having previously confirmed its new home of Pennyroyal Plains in Murroon, just a stone’s throw from Birregurra, back in July, Falls’ VIC event is set to relocate to Melbourne for the first time. Now billed as Falls Downtown Melbourne, the event will now take place at Sidney Myer Music Bowl and surrounds across the same dates December 29, 30 and 31.

The festival revealed that while Colac Shire Otway Council approved the planning permit on 30 June for Falls VIC to be held at a new location at Birregurra, with support from council and from the local MP and the broader community, an application by a small group of locals was made to the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) appealing this decision and a hearing date set for February/March 2023, after the event was meant to take place.
