Iconic St Kilda venue the Espy is set to open its doors later on this week, the perfect time for a TGIF beer.
On Friday November 23, the hotel will be open for business, and music fans will be able to witness for themselves the massive changes made to the building complex.
The Espy was purchased by new owners in May last year, and they have spent the past 18 months restoring the hotel. Renovations to the Espy include 12 bars, two restaurants and three stages. Sand Hill Road, the managing company, have said they aspired to bring the Espy back to its former glory when deciding what changes needed to be made.
The day before the grand reopening, The Teskey Brothers and Emilie South will be celebrating the hotel’s resurrection in a sold out show. Other acts have also been announced for the Espy, including Tex Perkins and Dan Sultan.
