The Espy is throwing an epic free Pride March afterparty with BIG WETT, a Poof Doof takeover and heaps more

Words by Staff Writer

Is there a better way to celebrate Pride ’24 than with a party of over-the-top deco, rainbow inspired cocktails and more entertainment than you can shake a glitter-covered stick at?

Presenting a who’s who of Melbourne’s queer dance community across three rooms at The Espy:

She has the number one pussy in the club – BIG WETT will be taking to the Main Bar Staircase for an iconic performance, supported by Deb Walters, Jake Judd, Gavin Campbell, Hip Hop Hoe, and hosted by Betty Grumble.

Keep up with the latest music news, features, festivals, interviews and reviews here.

Poof Doof are taking over The Gershwin Room with featured acts Jesse Boyd, Clara Fable, Cerulean, Dujour, Beverley Kills (from RuPaul’s Drag Race Downunder), Alex Morris, Jimi The Kween, Lloyd Jones, Aubrey Haive (from RuPaul’s Drag Race Downunder), Nic Holland, Duchess Kay, Gloss, Tonky and Cliterally.

If that isn’t enough, The Basement will be going off with Tilly & Emmy K, Bangerz ‘N’ Mash, Post Percy, and Onyx.

$2 from each and every thirst-quenching rainbow slushie sold will also be donated to The Espy’s neighbours, The Victoria Pride Centre.

So, grab the crew and head straight from the parade to the party, where things will be kicking off from noon till late. It’s all free entry.
