The Chicks announce Australia and New Zealand tour with Elle King

The Chicks

The country music icons will be heading down under this October.

Can you even have a conversation about country music without mentioning The Chicks? The legendary sister trio formerly known as the Dixie Chicks is an unstoppable force of music – as well as being extremely talented, outspoke and enduring, they’re also the biggest-selling American female band of all time.

This October, they’ll be touching down on our shores for the first time in six years, presented by Chugg Entertainment and Frontier Touring. As well as a few big dates booked in the main cities, they’ll also be playing some exclusive and intimate winery shows out in the country – getting back to their rural roots, we assume.

They will be bringing country blues singer-songwriter Elle King along for the ride. Known for her hearty, vibrant voice and foot-stompin’ songs, she’ll get the crowd energised for what is expected to be an unforgettable show.

The Chicks will be touring on the back of their latest release, Gaslighter, which hit the airways in 2020. Produced by Jack Antonoff, the long-awaited return was acclaimed by critics and fans alike.

“Ever since I heard a demo in the late ’90s and did their first tour in November 1999, The Chicks have been a huge part of my life. Watching them become live icons of music has been an amazing journey, and their upcoming tour will go up another level again,” said Michael Chugg, Executive Chairman of Chugg Entertainment.

Tickets to see The Chicks on their Australia and New Zealand tour are expected to move quickly – grab yours for the Melbourne show when they go on sale on Monday May 8 at 1pm. The presale option opens on May 3 for 24 hours only.
