Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee brings Brian Wilson's touring musicians for October celebration.

Al Jardine and The Pet Sounds Band are set to tour Australia in October 2025, delivering high-energy performances of The Beach Boys’ greatest hits. The founding Beach Boys member has assembled Brian Wilson’s acclaimed touring musicians for shows that will celebrate classics including California Girls, Help Me Rhonda, Wouldn’t It Be Nice, Surfin’ USA and Good Vibrations.

Al Jardine and The Pet Sounds Band represent more than nostalgia, offering a living continuation of The Beach Boys’ musical tradition. The 11-piece ensemble is led by Darian Sahanaja of The Wondermints as music director and features Al’s son Matt Jardine, whose vocals have received praise for channeling the spirit of classic Beach Boys harmonies while bridging generational gaps.

The setlist extends beyond the familiar hits to include deep cuts from The Beach Boys’ 1970s albums, featuring radio singles and fan favourites that showcase the band’s creative evolution. Al Jardine has even expanded the 58-second Ding Dang with new verses, demonstrating his continued commitment to keeping the music fresh while respecting its heritage.

As guitarist, vocalist and songwriter for The Beach Boys since 1961, Jardine sang lead on number one hits Help Me, Rhonda and Cottonfields, while contributing to album tracks including I Know There’s An Answer and Peggy Sue. His Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction in 1988 and Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2001 recognise his significant contributions to popular music.

The tour follows Jardine’s recent musical activities including his 2010 studio album A Postcard from California and his new EP Islands In The Sun featuring collaborations with Bruce Johnston, Neil Young and Flea. These concerts promise to deliver the full spectrum of The Beach Boys’ artistry while maintaining the authentic sound that made the originals special.
