The Bamboos are bringing the funk to Perth and Melbourne this April.
Following a triumphant EU/UK tour, Australia’s Soul & Funk maestros, The Bamboos, are set to shake up the nation with the launch of their 11th studio album, This Is How You Do It. The news comes hot on the heels of their sell-out performances across Europe and the UK, culminating in two electric nights at London’s legendary Jazz Café.
Ever since their inception in 2000, The Bamboos have been hailed as pioneers in the global Soul & Funk scene, consistently redefining the genre by seamlessly blending modern songwriting with classic arrangements and production. Now, they’re gearing up for their first headline show in Western Australia in over a decade.

Led by the dynamic trio of guitarist/producer/songwriter Lance Ferguson, the powerhouse vocals of Australia’s living soul legend Kylie Auldist, and their undeniable chemistry as a band, The Bamboos have received widespread acclaim, earning their seventh ARIA Award nomination for the 2022 album Live At Hamer Hall with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. Their knack for skillful songwriting and infectious grooves has also secured four APRA Award nominations.
The Bamboos have been at the forefront of the Melbourne Soul Scene since their debut in 2000, becoming the first Australian band with a Deep Funk sound to sign with overseas labels and tour internationally.
