The impressive finalists for the Australian Women in Music Awards have been announced. Held in Queensland this year, the awards celebrate the contributions women have made to the music industry within the past year.
Nominees in this year’s star-studded awards ceremony include pop singer-songwriter Christine Anu, Alice Skye, NGAIIRE, Marcia Hines, Dami Im, Thelma Plum and Mojo Juju. This year’s awards night includes three new categories for classical music, music journalism and image making. All up, 15 awards are on offer.
The winners will be announced on Wednesday October 9 at a huge party and concert in Brisbane, complete with a lineup of Clare Bowditch, NGAIIRE and more stellar acts.
