Feast your eyes (and ears) on this.
Darebin Music Feast has unveiled a whopper of a festival program. Spanning a huge eight days, the festival’s 23rd year has a strong focus on the cultural and musical diversity that’s thriving throughout the city.
The festival kicks off with an outdoor opening party, complete with three stages full of live music. All up, 15 acts will be making an appearance, including Alice Skye, Huntly, Jess Ribeiro, The Goon Sax and U-Bahn.
Throughout the event, you’ll also come across back-to-back gigs taking place in Darebin’s music venues, touching on every genre from folk to funk. Be sure to set aside time for Green Noise, an event inspired by sustainability in the music industry and the rise in environmental activism. Leading the charge on this politically pressing event are Jade Imagine, Elizabeth, Empat Lima and The Vovos.
Over half of the events in this year’s program are free to attend and just under a third are appropriate for all ages, so there’s really no excuse to not dive in.
Darebin Music Feast takes over the city between Sunday October 20 and Sunday October 27. For more info, head to the festival website.
