Who are we chatting to and what’s your role in the band? I’m Jason Beardlsey. I play the drums and I like to sing harmonies from time to time in Ten Thousand.
What do you reckon people will say Ten Thousand sound like?We’ve had everything from Muse, Nine Inch Nails, Dead Letter Circus to the Black Angels.
What do you love about making music?The ability to transpose all the negative energy in our lives and turn it into something positive — in the form of beats.
What do you hate about the music industry?I’m really against ego and competitiveness. We could create some amazing underground movements over this side of the world, but it’s hard to get people to work together.
If you could travel back in time and show one of your musical heroes your stuff, who would it be? My hero is Myles Kennedy. He pours so much heart and positive energy into music no matter what band he’s in. Lyrically he’s inspired me for a long time. I’d like to share with him that same kind of life we put into our music.

What’ve you got to sell CD-wise?First Light, our debut album from 2015. Album two Ghosts Of Samsara will be released in February 2017.
