Known for their blistering and infectious music, Stiff Richards absolutely nail Australian contemporary surf-punk. Constructing tracks with some unreal basslines, wicked guitar riffs and ripping vocals, they’re worth checking out if you haven’t already. Made up of Wolfgang Buckle on vocals, Arron Mawson and Tim Garrard on guitar, Raf Heale on bass and Lochie Cavigan on drums, Stiff Richards release music via Legless Records; a label founded by their guitarist Arron Mawson.

The Curtin’s celebrated, curtained bandroom – with its intimate, 300-patron capacity and no-bullshit aesthetic – prides itself on being an inclusive and welcoming space for all. One of the very few remaining music venues in Carlton, the fact that The Curtin plays a crucial role in Melbourne’s rich tapestry of live music venues is undeniable.
