Judged by a panel of industry professionals including Trudy Hellier, Adele Fleur and Salik Silverstein, the 17 category winners were announced at the Closing Night Awards Ceremony on Saturday.
Peter Drew’s The Khalik Family Kite won Best Documentary Film while Best Short Film was awarded to Welcome Home Allen, directed by Andrew Kavanagh. Both of these awards provide their winners with the eligibility to be considered for Academy Awards in their respective categories.
