The treasured annual festival has revealed the three headliners for its 2025 event and it's shaping up to be a special one.

St Kilda Fest, one of Melbourne’s biggest and most long-standing free and all-ages music festivals, has announced some of its big hitters for this year’s event. Happening on the weekend of February 15 and 16 2025, the event will be led by Peter Garrett & The Alter Egos, Cub Sport and Jem Cassar-Daley.

Spread across two days and multiple stages on the St Kilda foreshore, the festival highlights some of Australia’s most enduring stars as well as up-and-coming local gems and is known as the country’s largest community festival.

The Saturday of the festival is dedicated to First Peoples programming and features a ripper lineup of Indigenous artists from the main stage to O’Donnell Gardens. Then, Big Festival Sunday finishes off the festival strong, with more than 50 bands and artists set to perform to over 350,000 punters expected.

On top of the music, the festival features outdoor bars, food and market stalls, roving entertainers and family-friendly activities, all for free.

This year’s headliners are an impressive bunch. Singer-songwriter Jem Cassar-Daley, daughter of the iconic country singer Troy Cassar-Daley, is set to bring her free spirit and indie pop anthems. Fresh off the release of her award-winning track King of Disappointment, the independent artist definitely won’t disappoint on the St Kilda stage.

Peter Garrett needs no introduction. The Midnight Oil frontman, environmentalist, politician and activist will be performing his beloved hits and eccentric dance moves alongside the talented Alter Egos.

Finally, Cub Sport is set to dazzle the crowds with their emotional yet danceable pop tracks. Anchored by frontman Tim Nelson’s mesmerising vocals, the four-piece are renowned for their intense live shows and are set to deliver nothing less at St Kilda Fest.

The event is set to announce its full lineup soon and we’ve heard it’s a doozy, so keep your eyes peeled for more information.
