It will actively discourage scalpers through limits placed on the number of tickets to be listed, and will prevent the listing of tickets above the purchase price. It will also offer last-minute buyers (especially travellers) the chance to scoop up tickets to sold-out events, without paying over-the-top prices, and will act as a social network site. “We want to encourage more people to go out and enjoy live events and possibly benefit from the connections they can make with other like-minded people,” Locke says.
