Soul legend kicks off her biggest-ever Australian and New Zealand tour at Hamer Hall with fresh album tracks.

Macy Gray is returning to Australia in 2026 with The Encore Tour, her most expansive trek across the region yet. The multi-award-winning R&B icon will launch the run at her favourite local venue, Arts Centre Melbourne’s Hamer Hall, before hitting sold-out cities from her 2024 tour plus exciting new regional spots and six dates in New Zealand.

Fresh off another celebrated visit, Gray is set to deliver a career-spanning celebration packed with crowd favourites alongside previews from her upcoming album The Trouble with the Truth. Australian audiences will be the first in the world to hear the new material live.

With over 25 million records sold, a Grammy Award and two BRIT Awards to her name, Macy Gray remains one of soul music’s most distinctive voices. Her raspy, instantly recognisable vocals turned On How Life Is into a chart-topper here long before global stardom fully hit, and tracks like I Try still sound as powerful today.

This tour promises high-energy performances blending nostalgia with fresh fire. Gray has teased plenty of dancing and partying, saying the band always has a ball down under. Expect a setlist full of hits including Still, Do Something, Sexual Revolution and Sweet Baby, plus her new single I’m Too Sexy.

The Melbourne kick-off at the elegant Hamer Hall feels particularly special, setting the tone for a tour that stretches from major cities into regional Australia and across to New Zealand before wrapping in the Margaret River wine region. It’s a victory lap that celebrates her deep connection with local fans while introducing the next chapter of her music.

In a career spanning two decades and 10 studio albums, Gray continues to prove why her live shows leave audiences blown away.
