The London five-piece are currently touring in support of their sophomore record Anywhere But Here, released last year on Domino.

Indie experimentalists Sorry have partnered with Frontier Touring and I Oh You Records to put on five local headlining gigs set to take place in mid-October.

Beginning their tour in Brisbane, the band will then perform at The Night Cat in Melbourne, before heading to Wollongong for Yours and Owls Festival. Shows in Sydney, Wellington and Auckland are set to follow, including a slot at Sydney’s inaugural SXSW event.

Initially starting out as a duo, vocalists and guitarists Asha Lorenz and Louis O’Bryen built Sorry during the pinnacle of England’s post-punk revitalisation, where they played alongside Black Midi and Shame at Brixton venue The Windmill.

Since releasing their debut record 925 in 2020, the band has frequently sold out shows across Europe. A spot at Glastonbury last year was effortless.

Intertwining ribbons of grunge and electronic with a distinctly lo-fi aesthetic, the band consistently delivers catchy hooks and impressive live performances. Their latest album, Anywhere But Here, saw the band distinguish themselves from their Windmill peers, incorporating charming pop stylings to much acclaim.

The Anywhere But Here tour kicked off with 20 dates in Europe and the UK, before heading off for a string of shows in the US – a first for the band.

Tickets to see Sorry on the Australia and New Zealand tour go on sale at 1pm on Friday, July 28th, with a presale for Frontier Touring members opening at 11am on Wednesday, July 26th. Grab yours here
