Smokescreens And Castles

Smokescreens And Castles is inspired by Russell’s childhood home

Smokescreens And Castles is inspired by Russell’s childhood home – the only council house in his street privately bought… by his Dad. This attracted the ire of the neighbours, and when Dave Kane built an extension, their home was mockingly christened ‘The Castle’.

One room at a time, we’re whisked through The Castle, blowing away the smoke of history in a whirlwind of high-energy contortions and pant-spraying hilarious routines.

Russell Kane performs Smokescreens And Castles at Melbourne Town Hall’s Lower Town Hall from March 31 – April 10. It’s at 8.15pm Tuesday – Saturday and 7.15pm Sunday – Monday. Tickets are $25.50 – $33 and available through Ticketmaster online, 1300 660 013 and at the door.
