Get ready for Melbourne’s most stylish festive bazaar.

Pack those reusable bags, because the Big Design Market is back and better than ever, taking over the historic Royal Exhibition Building from November 29 to December 1.

This isn’t your average market – think 250 of Australia and New Zealand’s top design stars packed into three days of food, fashion, homewares, art, and serious gift inspiration. Tickets are a steal at $6 (kids under 12 get in free!), so this is the perfect spot to load up on holiday gifts and support independent creators.

Stay up to date with what’s happening in and around Melbourne here.

From ceramics to jewellery, pet wares to gourmet treats, The Big Design Market curates the coolest stuff that’s all about quality and ethical production. Among the standouts this year are Marlo Woodwork’s incredible timber furniture, Aurelia Yeomans‘ handcrafted jewellery, Ilk Studios‘ eco-chic serving boards, and Djilpin Arts and Murrundindi’s powerful pieces showcasing Indigenous artistry.

Plus, don’t miss the famous show bags packed with $90 worth of curated goodies for just $25—available each day, but you’ve got to get in early!

As if that’s not enough, this year’s guest artist is Melbourne-based watercolour star Claire Mosley. Known for her whimsical, nature-inspired prints, Claire will be adding her magic to an exclusive art installation and creating a special kid’s zone with interactive activities like badge making, colouring, and a nature-themed treasure hunt.

Shopping can work up an appetite, but you’re covered with CDMX’s Mexican delights, banh mi from Ca Com, Italian from That’s Amore Cheese, and Wonder Pies’ amazing pastries. And for dessert? Casa Nata’s Portuguese tarts, Billy Van Creamy ice cream, and All Day Donuts have your back. For a festive sip, try the creative cocktails by Archie Rose Distilling Co. or zero-alcohol botanicals from Altina for a fresh twist.

Wrap up each day with a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony led by Wurundjeri elder Murrundindi. It’s a celebration of creativity, culture, and connection that only The Big Design Market can deliver.
