Although Melbourne trio Sheriff have been showcasing their Southern psychedelic, horror-blues/rock sound on stages for a decade, the beloved band are yet to release their debut album — until now.
The long-awaited album features ten tracks, each displaying the band’s signature theatrical and raucous sound in a genre-defying body of work which promises to be worth the wait. Having built their devout fanbase from the stage and crowdfunded the album by hosting a small festival in the seaside town of Rye, it makes sense that Sheriff would hit the stage to launch the record that’s essentially ten years in the making.
The album launch will see Sheriff performing the album in full with their Rock And Roll Orchestra extending the trio to an 11-piece ensemble. Taking place within the regal setting of Thornbury Theatre, Sheriff will be joined by The Neptune Power Federation and The Copperhead Brass Band for a party you won’t soon forget.
Sheriff’s album launch is happening at Thornbury Theatre on Friday June 14. Tickets are on sale now.
