Serial, the hit investigative podcast hosted by Sarah Koenig, has announced a brand new season. This time, the show will explore the American criminal justice system by collecting stories from a year inside the courts.
Season 3 explores the flawed nature of the justice system, and the problems that come with it. From armed robbery to kidnapping, each episode focuses on new crimes and how they get through the system.
“I don’t think we can understand how the criminal justice system works by interrogating one extraordinary case,” says Koenig. “Ordinary cases are where we’d need to look.”
