Scienceworks announce Sync, an all ages music event

Following the success of Scienceworks’ sold out live music event in June, the museum that celebrates science and culture has announced an all-ages party just in time for September school holidays. Sÿde and Eilish Gilligan will perform live accompanied by SYN FM DJs from 6pm on Saturday September 22.

Sÿde are a local duo ready to take over the world with their punchy dance pop anthems. Having just finished high school, Will and Mitch have already clocked millions of Spotify streams and been finalists in the Triple J Unearthed High competition. These guys are one of those acts you’ll brag about having seen when they make it big time.

Eilish Gilligan is a Melbourne singer, songwriter and producer who has been winning hearts with her warm pop sound. As the vocalist in Japanese Wallpaper’s live band, Gilligan has toured with Alex Lahey and Confidence Man. Get ready to be swept away by her haunting vocals.

A brand-new addition to the museum, Beyond Perception: Seeing the Unseen is aimed at young adults and showing them the wonders of unseen science. This exhibition will be open all night, giving attendees the chance to chill in the comfy chairs of the Cacophony lounge, journey through the electromagnetic spectrum and bend the fabric of space and time to create gravitational waves.

For those looking for a more hands-on experience, immersive science and tech pop-ups will be hidden amongst the exhibitions. These areas will be chances to explore other worlds in a Virtual Reality, gaming experiences and racing robots.

On top of this, snacks are provided. There will be DJ’s, dancing and lighting so out of this world you can forget your filters. Celebrate the school holidays with your friends at Sync at Scienceworks.
