SALLY FORD AND THE IDIOMATICS This genre-defying trio from have an uplifting, groove-drenched sound that draws from the musical provenance of its members … from latin to film music via ska and funk. Patrick Cronin and Michael Havir provide a lush electro-acoustic backing to Sally Ford’s wryly observed lyrics. An expansive sonic palette of keyboards, samples and electronica is enhanced by trombone, saxophone, flutes and even a bit of whistling to create a richly imagined musical experience.

ANIA REYNOLDS | SYNTHOTRONICA Synthotronica combines fat beats with fatter synths and live baritone sax and percussion with one thing in mind: to make you dance! The alter-ego of award-winning artist, composer and multi-instrumentalist Ania Reynolds, she has performed her original music across five continents, shared a saxophone solo duet with Femi Kuti and played baritone sax hanging upside down at the National Theatre In London. Afrobeat, dub/reggae, Cumbia, Balkan Beat, electro swing, Ethio-Jazz and more feature in her original sound that has been variously described as Wonkadelic, Techno Jazz, Steampunk Swing and Cosmic Groove. Forecast: groovy, with the chance of triangle solos.
