While a slew of first class acts are in the country for Australia’s premier alt-country festival Out on the Weekend, a few cheeky sideshows have been announced for those who want to double up on the action.
Leading the charge is the critically acclaimed Justin Townes Earle, who will play a full band show alongside the golden-voiced Joshua Hedley at the Melbourne Recital Centre on October 16.
For the first time ever in Australia, the legendary Son Volt will take to the stage at The Corner Hotel on October 15 with their new album Notes of Blue.
Rounding it out, Traveller – comprised of country mainstays Jonny Fritz, Robert Ellis and Cory Chisel – will hit the Northcote Social Club on October 17 with The ReChords and Caravan Music Club on October 18 while Robbie Fulks will hit Caravan Music Club on October 12 and The Thornbury Theatre on October 13 with Liam Gerner.
