words by staff writer

The UK rock duo have announced eight dates for this December including a headlining spot at Let The Good Times Roll and Changing Tides Festival.

Royal Blood are locked in to tour throughout Australia and New Zealand this December for the first time since their visit in 2018. Made up of members Mike Kerr and Joe Dennis, the duo is beloved for their melodic British rock sound.

They’ll be touring on the back of their latest album, Back To The Water Below, which was released earlier this week.

The new album follows three consecutive #1 releases from the band: their self-titled debut Royal Blood (which was the fastest selling British rock debut in three years) , 2017’s How Did We Get So Dark? and 2021’s Typhoons.

After breaking out in 2014, the band quickly rose to modern rock stardom, securing spots at Glastonbury, SXSW, Coachella and Laneway and opening for legends including the Arctic Monkeys, the Foo Fighters, The Killers and Pearl Jam.

Hit tracks like Figure It Out, Trouble’s Coming, Loose Change, Lights Out and Out Of The Black have helped the band secure over 3.5 million monthly Spotify listeners and dedicated fans across the world.

“We’re incredibly excited to be announcing these shows in Australia and New Zealand in December this year,” says the band. “We can’t wait to get back out there. It’s been far too long.”

For their Australian dates this summer, Royal Blood will be bringing along fellow Brits Psychedelic Porn Crumpets and Sydney alt-rock four piece The Buoys. They’ll be in good condition for their upcoming shows as they are soon to embark on a massive tour throughout the US and Europe.

Tickets to see Royal Blood on their Australian headlining tour will go on sale on September 11 with a Frontier presale opening on September 7.
