Words by staff writer

Robbie Williams' BRITPOP World Tour hits Australia and New Zealand across November with a first-ever Newcastle stop

Robbie Williams is bringing his BRITPOP World Tour to Australia and New Zealand for seven stadium shows this November.

The run kicks off at Adelaide Oval on 7 November and winds through Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium, Sydney’s Accor Stadium, Newcastle’s McDonald Jones Stadium and Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium before crossing the Tasman to Auckland’s Eden Park for a one-night-only date and Christchurch’s One New Zealand Stadium. The Newcastle show marks Robbie Williams’ first ever performance in the city, while Christchurch will see him become the first international artist to play the brand new One New Zealand Stadium — and his first visit there in 25 years.

The tour centres on BRITPOP, his latest album which dropped as a surprise back in January. The record is a return to the guitar-driven britpop sound that defined British music in the mid-90s — the same era Robbie launched his solo career after departing Take That. It features collaborations with Chris Martin of Coldplay, Gaz Coombes from Supergrass, Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi, Mexican pop duo Jesse & Joy and Gary Barlow.

His last lap of Australia and New Zealand on the XXV Tour drew capacity crowds across the region, with a setlist spanning decades of material from Angels and Feel to Better Man and Let Me Entertain You. The BRITPOP Tour takes in some of his biggest Australian and New Zealand venue bookings to date, with four stadiums on the domestic leg alone.

It’s been a packed stretch for Robbie beyond the touring circuit. He fronted Black Sabbath at the recent Brit Awards to perform a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne, delivered a halftime set at the 2022 AFL Grand Final that set a new standard for the event, and brought in 2025 with a headline slot at the Sydney Opera House on New Year’s Eve.

On screen, his Oscar-nominated biopic Better Man arrived in cinemas globally in December 2024 to critical praise. The accompanying Better Man soundtrack secured his 15th UK number one album, putting him level with The Beatles on the all-time chart. His four-part Netflix documentary series reached the platform’s number one spot in 22 countries when it premiered in November 2023.

Robbie Williams has racked up 90 million album sales worldwide, a record 16 UK number one albums, six of the 100 best-selling albums in British history and 18 BRIT Awards — more than any other artist. He brings all of that and his BRITPOP Tour to Australian and New Zealand stadiums this November.
