Legendary guitarist Ian Moss (of Cold Chisel fame) and his band will start the festival off on a high on the Friday. They’ll be supported by the Western Australian glam rockers The Southern River Band and country crooners The Pleasures.
The Saturday will see The Cruel Sea hit the stage, bringing their time-tested rock ‘n’ roll alongside Blackbird singer-songwriter Dan Sultan. Joining them will be indie folk acts Pierce Brothers and Grace Cummings, as well as the recently reformed Little Birdy who will be playing their 2004 album BigBigLove in full, Emily Wurramara and Skyscraper Stan & The Commission Flats.
Finally, the Sunday will see roots rocker John Butler, New Zealand Hall of Famer Bic Runga and Afro-futurists Owelu Dreamhouse alongside Dan Kelly’s Regional Crisis and Hana & Jessie-Lee’s Bad Habits.
What’s more, the crowd-favourite Paddlesteamer sideshows are back and expected to sell out yet again. The hour-long boat ride on the PS Pevensey will feature performances by Emily Wurramara, Pierce Brothers, Skyscraper Stan & The Commission Flats and The Pleasures.
Located just a two-and-a-half hour drive from the Melbourne CBD, the festival is one of the most chilled-out, easygoing offerings on the summer events calendar. Bring your friends, bring your family – even bring your bathers if you’re brave! Riverboats is a special one.
