Rising Australian pop artist Oliver Cronin has released Edge Of Paradise, the deluxe edition of his EP Halfway To Paradise, alongside announcing an all-ages Australian tour for April 2025.
The expanded release features new tracks including Maria, a collaboration with Filipino band Lola Amour that showcases a classic boyband sound complete with saxophone solo, and Room For Two, a dark-pop track that has already become a live favourite. These join previously released singles Girl Next Door featuring Charley, Burning House, and Hello Goodbye.
Speaking about the collaboration, Cronin explains the unique creative process behind Maria. “I wrote Maria with the Lola Amour boys whilst at a writing camp in Malaysia. Being a 9 piece band, they have a very different process to writing than I do, which I think brought out something magical in this song. It feels like a blend of two different worlds. In this story both me and Pio (Lola Amour lead singer) are so blindly in love with Maria that we don’t realise she is sneaking behind both of our backs,” he says.

The announcement follows Cronin’s recent Australian tour supporting American pop star Natalie Jane and a performance at the Australian Open broadcast on Stan. The Warner Music Australia signee has accumulated over 39.1 million combined streams and maintains a strong social media presence with 1M TikTok followers and 500K monthly Spotify listeners.
Following his nomination for Best New Artist at the 2024 Shure Rolling Stone Awards, Cronin reflects on his trajectory toward his upcoming debut album. “As you can probably tell by the name, we’re one step closer to my debut album Paradise. The last few years have been an absolute rollercoaster and I haven’t exactly felt in the right headspace to finish this album, but I’ve grown a lot and as time goes on I feel more and more comfortable and confident in the music and what paradise looks and sounds like for me,” he says.
