The latest single from Richard Hawley’s extraordinary Mercury-nominated album Standing On The Sky’s Edge is a creamy, dreamy paisley-patterned lullaby: “If you seek it you won’t find another’s eyes so blinded by love.” It’s rich but effortless, loaded with easy rhymes and washed out guitars and set to cruise control. Excellent.
