(Nearly) happy holidays, everyone! What a mighty effort 2024 has been. We couldn’t have dreamt of spending it any other way than keeping our lovely readers in the know about all the happenings this amazing city has offered up month after month. But we’re not done yet. Awaiting you are a bunch of incredible nights, mornings and those weird hours in between (afternoons?) through which Revolver promises to rock your socks off. There’ll be the booming DJ sets we’ve come to know and love, a few rock shows and some truly funky celebrations that’ll have your hip pocket working overtime. Have fun, stay safe and let the summer fun begin!

  • Sunday December 1
  • Featuring T-REK, Boogs, Digital Primate and so many more!

Starting off strong is a gross understatement. T-REK is celebrating a 20 year DJ residency at Revs with an epic 20-song retrospective album ringing around the adorned walls for 12 hours straight. It’ll be bolstered up by what is probably the most over-qualified support squad that the city can produce. There are names like Spacey Space, J’Nett and Mike Callander (when he’s not nurturing DJ padawans at RMIT). This will surely be one for the ages, but for the moment solely for those above 18. Grab some tickets here.

  • DJ Henry Who

Revolver Upstairs presents the 2024 summer edition of Seasons of Change, celebrating local artists through a large-scale mural and limited edition prints. This one-night-only event celebrates over 10 years of Seasons of Change, bringing local, interstate, and international artists to Revolver’s creative spaces. A live mural will be painted, visible from Revolver Upstairs’ iconic venue, with limited edition commemorative prints available for purchase during the exhibition. Followed immediately by…

Union Heights

  • Friday December 6
  • Free entry before 10pm

Hip hop’s best representative in Melbourne is celebrating 9 years in the business on December 6. Union Heights are throwing a party that’ll kick off in the late afternoon with exclusive graffiti art exhibition Seasons Of Change, before ripping into a night of heavy hip hop and DJ sets. On the card are names such as Ekka, Cadet X and the multi-talented Dolphin Jones. Revs is going all out, so get in nice and early to make the most of the free entry.

Litmus

  • Friday December 6
  • Support from Dylan Griffin, Dani Westt and JWalker

There’s nothing we love more than a Revs debutant. Litmus will be bringing an unquestionably minimal yet equally mesmerising set of house music to Revs’ stage, bringing along some heavy swinging buddies for good measure. The Netherlands-based Sydneysider will be venturing south to the city of better coffee and slightly worse weather, where all you lovely gig-fiends will have the opportunity to catch one of the hottest house tickets going around.

Band From Hell

  • Support from the devil himself, probably

There are certain motifs one thinks of when hearing the genre nu-metal. These would include long hair, perhaps some eyeliner, maybe beer. Band From Hell (actually from Perth) promises all of these mashed tightly into a high octane setlist filled with hits from Nirvana, Oasis and Green day to name a few. These guys are throwing a rock fan’s dream show and are set to rip Revs right into the weekend. You can grab some tickets here. Enjoy!

  • Friday December 13
  • Ugenius label showcase

Highlighting the second Friday night in December is Netherland powerhouse Jelle Jansen performing under his ever popular soubriquet Huminal. Huminal has been constantly delivering world class beats mixed with multi-medium art displays that make his shows a holistic experience for any true house fan. He won’t be alone, with support from his label-mates The Journey, Bohm and many more. Also along for the ride are all the Friday night regulars at Revs. Phew! What a night. Grab some tickets here to make sure you don’t miss out.

Lovely, Lonely, Landfill

Lovely, Lonely, Landfill will conclude their debut year with a performance at Melbourne’s Revolver Bandroom on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 7:00 pm. The band will showcase tracks from their debut album, Letters I Should’ve Burnt, and preview material from upcoming 2025 releases. Supporting acts include Brodown and Friends In The Basement.
