Record Store Day Australia has added two more massive acts to its already impressive 2025 lineup: You Am I and Royel Otis.
The iconic Aussie indie rockers You Am I will be releasing their live album Someone Else’s Crowd for the very first time on vinyl, pressed on classic black wax with brand new artwork. This release coincides perfectly with the 30th anniversary of their seminal album Hi Fi Way.
Rising indie darlings Royel Otis have also climbed aboard, offering an exclusive pressing of their Nashville Sessions EP on 10-inch vinyl.

The new additions join an already stacked lineup of Aussie talent for Record Store Day, including Bluey, Pond, Dannii Minogue, The Saints, The Grogans, Ninajirachi, and Maddy Jane. Several high-profile Australian acts will also appear on the import list, with special releases from Confidence Man, Ruel and The Veronicas.
Now in its 19th year, Record Store Day has become a vital celebration of independent music retailers, with more than 200 shops across Australia participating in the 2025 edition. The event will feature limited-edition vinyl releases, live performances, artist signings and special activities for vinyl enthusiasts and casual music fans alike.
What makes Record Store Day particularly special is its reach beyond major metropolitan areas. Participating stores can be found in regional centres including Bendigo, Coffs Harbour, Wollongong, Albany, Darwin and Cairns, highlighting the enduring cultural importance of brick-and-mortar record shops throughout Australia.
“Beyond the records though, the event underscores the essential role of record store staff in preserving our music culture and fostering community connections, shining a spotlight on the unsung heroes of the music industry who champion new music, share their expertise, and help keep vinyl culture alive, one record at a time,” organisers explain.
Whether you’re a dedicated crate-digger hunting for rare treasures, a casual fan looking to support your local record store, or simply wanting to soak up the unique atmosphere, Record Store Day 2025 promises something for every music lover.
