Radio Birdman burst onto the Sydney music scene in 1974 with an energy and attitude previously unseen in that city. Clashing with the powers that be of the time, the band chartered a steadfastly DIY course kicking down doors as they went.
Died Pretty followed a similarly organic path, shouldering the heightening Sydney rock’n’roll interest when Radio Birdman broke up in 1978. Recording hit after hit and album after album, they quickly rose to fame and are still considered one of the most important pieces in Australia’s diverse music landscape.
