Queenscliff Music Festival postponed to 2021

Words by Tom parker

The beloved festival has made the difficult decision.

Queenscliff Music Festival (QMF) has long been a significant fixture of the festival calendar – one that has filled a beautiful part of Victoria with joy and creativity for over two decades.

The 24th iteration of the festival was scheduled to take place from November 27 – 29 this year but they’ve just made the difficult decision to postpone the event until November 26 – 28, 2021 as a result of the disruptions caused by COVID-19.

QMF noted three considerations that led to the festival’s postponement: The health and safety of all concerned, including the festival attendees, staff, artists and more; the uncertainty surrounding what the landscape will look like come November, and the ability to provide a festival experience for all attendees that the festival itself can pride itself on.

All 2020 ticketholders will be contacted individually regarding the transfer and refund process. Already-purchased tickets will remain valid until 2021, while refunds will also be available for festival-goers.

Queenscliff Music Festival are currently working on a Plan B option that could see a revised event take place this year. It will all hinge on the nature of the restrictions at that given time.

The 24th Queenscliff Music Festival will take place from Friday November 26 to Sunday November 28, 2021. If you have any pressing questions, contact the festival directly at [email protected].
