The highlight of the 2011 L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival has come together in the form of a fashion/art/design delight, the Qee Designer Toy Exhibition.
For the first time on Australian shores, this fashion extravaganza will has gotten underway with the contributions of leading Aussie designers Alannah Hill, Bettina Liano, FAT, Peter Alexander, Little Joe, Sambag, Gorman, Leona Edmiston, Mimco, Oroton and Jack London.
Qees first came to be in 2002 after the need for upper class toys became too overwhelming to resist. Although it may sound a little fruity, some of the works really are exquisite and can be seen in museums and galleries worldwide.
A silent auction will take place, with all proceeds being donated to a charity of the deigner’s choosing.
Qee Designer Toy Exhibition will of course be taking place at none other than Chadstone, the fashion capital itself. It runs from Wednesday March 16 to Sunday April 3.
