Bearing the terrible clichéd nature of this question, what do you reckon people will say you sound like?
We are often described as the next Silverchair because of our young age, but we are continuing to develop our own unique rock sound and music.
How long have you been gigging and writing?
Gigging for five years and writing for two. We might start with a great riff and then it turns into something exciting. We’ve had an amazing ride so far; gigged at Queenscliff Festival, St Kilda Festival and won two battles of the bands (including Stonnington). We’ve loved every minute of it.
What inspires or has influenced your music the most?
Bands like Kingswood, Queens Of The Stone Age, Wolfmother, Nirvana and Foo Fighters.
Do you have any record releases to date? What are they? Where can I get them?
We recently recorded an EP called Electric at Birdland Studios. You can find the EP online at stereoking.bandcamp.com or at various gigs.
When are you doing your thing next?
Viva Youth Festival: Princes Gardens, Malvern Rd, Prahran. Saturday March 2 at 2.30pm. We’d love to see you there.
Describe the best gig you have ever played.
We loved playing at the St Kilda Festival. Great sound, atmosphere, and people and playing on stage right next to Luna Park was really cool, an awesome experience.
