Sustainable and diverse, Slow Food Melbourne Farmers’ Market could be your favourite new food market

Slow Food opens every second Saturday of the month at two different Melbourne locations.

What’s the best way to support local farmers without leaving Melbourne? Located in the city’s west, Slow Food Melbourne Farmers’ Market could be your favourite new food market.

With fresh, local Victorian produce available directly from growers and makers, this market is perfect for both buyers and sellers.

Taking over two different locations, Slow Food Melbourne Farmers’ Market comes to Tottenham every second Saturday of the month; every fourth Saturday, the setting is Spotswood. Melbourne’s bustling westside has never been better looked after when it comes to fresh produce from local farmers.

Slow Food’s philosophy boils down to three principles: good – providing produce that is good for you, your family and the planet; clean – making sure their produce is not genetically-modified or chemically-treated; and fair – providing a fair return for everyone in the supply chain.

Sounds like Slow Food have got their finger on the pulse.

Head along to the beloved market and expect produce from the likes of The Meat Room – where you can find Melbourne’s best salami, Thriving Foods Farm – for your farm fresh vegetables, as well as local gin legends Autonomy Distillers. That’s just the start.

Slow Food Melbourne Farmers’ Market goes down every second Saturday of the month at the aforementioned locations, open from 8am – 1pm. Find out more here.
