New York’s Taking Back Sunday have sold out their first show at 170 Russell and have added another show on the Tuesday March 21. Joining Taking Back Sunday on this tour, for the very first time in Australia is early 2000s emo/pop-punk band Acceptance.
Sadly, NoMeansNo have announced via their Facebook that the band will no longer continue. “A hiatus became a long hiatus and a lingering hiatus has become a permanent one. 35 years and countless miles, a couple thousand shows and many more beers, a bunch of tunes and sweaty hoards of great fans, I can’t say thanks enough to everyone,” Rob W wrote over the weekend.
In better news Fireballs are back at Bendigo Hotel, Collingwood this weekend to celebrate Grand Final Day this Saturday October 1. The Footscray punks have already started pre-drinking in preparation for the Bulldogs taking on the Swans. Joining the lineup are surf rock superstars Birdcage, The Traumaboys and Rogues.
The Bronx have just released a 19-track live album in time for their tour next month with Aussie favourites Violent Soho, Luca Brasi & Tired Lion. Catch the huge show at Festival Hall on Monday October 31.
