Dead Heavens, the new psych-rock band fronted by the prolific Walter Schreifels (Gorilla Biscuits, Quicksand, Rival Schools and many more) have released a new single from their upcoming debut album. Featuring a hard-psych rock sound inspired by bands like Cream and Black Sabbath, the album is due out Friday June 16 on Dine Alone records.

Fat Wreck Chords have announced the upcoming release of a rarities cover compilation from No Use For a Name. Comprised of cover songs the band had recorded over the course of their career, the album is due for release on Friday August 11. Los Angeles pop-punks Bad Cop/Bad Cop have released a new single. Entitled Retrograde, the track is taken from their upcoming second album Warriors, due out on Fat Wreck Chords on Friday June 16. Their debut album was average, but their first 7” was a super tight slab of melodic all girl California pop-punk. Keen as mustard to see if they can pull it off again.

New York gypsy punks Gogol Bordello have announced the upcoming release of their eighth studio album. Entitled Seekers and Finders, the record is their first since 2013’s Pura Vida Conspiracy. The band has released lead single Saboteur Blues, available for streaming now. Pre-orders for the album are available now from the band’s website.

Sydney melodic punks Lungs have announced their reformation for the tenth anniversary of debut EP Breathe Bastard Breathe. While the band is yet to announce a Melbourne show, the band’s reformation and connection to Melbourne’s Poison City label could mean it’s definitely likely. Stay tuned.
