College rock emo favourites Tigers Jaw have announced the upcoming release of their fifth full-length album. From the band: “Hey everyone. We are super excited to announce that our new album Spin will be available Friday May 19. We couldn’t be happier to work together with our best friend Will Yip on the first ever release on Black Cement Records.”

Reunited melodic hardcore lords 88 Fingers Louie have announced the release of an upcoming full length record, the band’s first since 1998’s Back on the Streets. Entitled Thank You For Being a Friend, the new record will be released on Friday June 30 on Bird Attack Records. Frontman Denis Buckley describes the record, “We’ve all grown as musicians.  Some of us listen to the same music we did back then and some are now into a completely different style of stuff.  Musically we definitely took some chances.  This has some of our heaviest songs and some of our catchiest as well – and a bunch of stuff in between.”

AFI, the band that was actually a great punk rock band once that became the worst band ever almost overnight, have announced a national tour this September, their first headline tour of the country in almost ten years. Dead Cross, the new hardcore punk/metal project featuring vocalist Mike Patton (Faith No More, Mr Bungle, a million others), former Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo and Justin Pearson (The Locust, Retox) have announced the upcoming release of their self-titled debut album. The project also marks the reuniting of Patton and Lombardo who have previously played together in Fantomas. Due out on Friday August 4, the album will be released on Patton’s own Ipecac Records. The band has released the debut single Grave Slave, debuting their frantic style with Patton’s trademark off the wall vocals and Lombardo’s intense drumming. Preorders are available now.
