The albums just keep coming. Queercore legends Limp Wrist will release their new full length Facades this August, on La Vida Es Un Mus Records.

Long-running garage punks Dwarves have announced the release of a new full-length album, their first since 2014’s The Dwarves Invented Rock N Roll. Entitled Take Back the Night, the album is due out on Burger Records in early 2018. The album will follow the already announced EP Julio, due out later this year. News has emerged from the band that the Julio EP was originally scheduled to be released by Fat Wreck Chords, however the release fell through as the record contained “objectionable content.” Dwarves frontman Blag Dahlia has remarked in a recent press release that “I’m gonna have to give Fat Mike some shit next time we do coke together.”

Long-running Texas hardcore punk innovators MDC have announced the upcoming release of a new studio album, their first since 2004’s Magnus Dominus Corpus. Entitled Mein Trumph, the new record is due out this August.

In a bold move to make some fast cash, garage kings The Spits have announced a promotion in which you can buy a ticket to hang out with the band for a weekend at a lakeside retreat. For the low price of $1,200 USD, the band will “fly you out to Michigan to Spits Appreciation Camp from any major city in the United States where we rent two cottages on a gorgeous lake and listen to rock and drink beer all day. Then at night listen to more rock and sit around a fire. Fishing, pontoon boat and great jams. Beer and food included. No troublemakers.” It’s unknown if anyone has yet taken up the offer, but if someone wants to send $1,200 to the Beat office for me, I’d be more than keen.

New York noise-punk lords Unsane have announced the release of their eighth studio album. Entitled Sterilize, the band has teamed up with esteemed heavy music powerhouse Southern Lord for its release. Sterilize is due out Friday September 29.

Gainesville ska punks Less Than Jake have announced a national tour to celebrate their 25th anniversary as a band. The band will be joined by Melbourne’s Bodyjar and Foxtrot in a huge lineup to cover all major cities. Drummer Vinnie Fiorello explains, “We’ll be celebrating our 25th anniversary in Australia, and while Australian tours are always ragers, we’ll be bringing our full stage of antics along for the first time. Add a massive catalog of material to choose from and it’s almost an instant good time. We’re coming to your shores to party, live recklessly, have a few pies, nurse a few hangovers, and make our 25th anniversary tour one to remember (or not remember).” Less Than Jake, Bodyjar and Foxtrot will play The Prince Bandroom on Thursday October 19. Tickets are available now.
