As Arts Centre Melbourne delivers exciting and ambitious program initiatives including the New Hamer Hall Opening Season and the Famous Spiegeltent season, we need a strong Program Manager to contribute strategically to the Performing Arts strategy and lead performing arts Special Projects.
As a key member of the Programming unit, delivering the Performing Arts programming offer, the Program Manager, Special Projects collaborates strategically with key stakeholders to research, scope and deliver an artistically diverse range of performing arts special projects. In this exciting and challenging role, you will apply your strong commercial analytical skills to make recommendations regarding the feasibility of current and potential special projects. You will also be responsible for end-to-end artistic project management including developing strategic plans, managing budgets, operational management, providing reports and evaluations and leading the Special Projects team to deliver successful and world-class arts projects.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
– Tertiary qualification in Performing Arts Management or equivalent
– Experience in the strategic development of high quality creative arts programs
– High level project management skills
– Strong business acumen and commercial analytical ability
– Proven experience managing project budgets, including the identification of funding sources
– Experience producing high level strategic reports, evaluations and analysis
– Strong leadership capability
