Private Function announce horror Christmas extravaganza at The Forum

Private Function

Melbourne’s vicious pub-rock juggernauts Private Function will host Miracle on 69th Street: a horror-themed Christmas extravaganza at The Forum, Melbourne.

The spectacle is set to feature performances from Pro Wrestling Australia, Press Club and Blonde Revolver, as well as Georgia Maq and Cable Ties as DJs.

Private Function, in partnership with Handsome Tours and Select Music will present a post-lockdown purge called Miracle on 69th Street, which promises to be a very horrible Christmas themed extravaganza coming into The Forum, Melbourne on Saturday 18 December.

What you need to know

  • Melbourne rockers Private Function will host a Christmas extravaganza at The Forum
  • Pro Wrestling, Press Club, Blonde Revolver, Georgia Maq and Cable Ties will also feature
  • It’s scheduled for Saturday December 18

Stay up to date with what’s happening in Melbourne here.

The Forum’s floor will mutate into a real-life wrestling ring, hosting live combats from Pro Wrestling Australia between sets in a bloody and pungent permeation of Private Function live-show tomfuckery. Yes, there will be a wrestling ring on the Forum floor.

Anything goes in this no holds barred affair. Expect the unexpected. Claus out, elf on elf battles. Angel wings ripped from their sockets and offered to the ghosts of Colin Mochrie’s past. Maybe even a miracle.

One thing’s for sure, it’s the closest thing to a stadium show that PF fans are gonna get this year. A truly unmissable decade-late-entry public school Rock Eisteddfod production.

Still on top, the gang – Chris, Aidan, Milla and Joe – have somehow managed to slackline restrictions and wreak havoc this year with a fistful of excellent live performances, including one-and-a-half festival appearances, a portion of a tour, and the most talked-about gigs of their career, where they executed the Smith’s Chips Gobbledok at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl.

With a penchant for overzealous theatrics and a savoir-faire for irreverence, Private Function are literally spending every cent in the couch to make Miracle on 69th Street the biggest event on the advent calendar.
